John Lee and I were classmates at Breathitt High School in Jackson, Ky 1956-60. We had several classes together and really enjoyed our time together. We both loved to jitterbug on our high school stage and attended all of the sock hops and proms. He attended several of our class reunions in past years and was always interested in coming back for the next one. When a friend of mine heard of his passing she mentioned how he was always in a good mood and was usually smiling. He will be missed by all who knew him. My sympathy to Hanie . John and Monica. S.J. Sallee, class of 1960

I never saw John Lee when he didn't have a big smile and a joke or story to tell. He will be sorely missed by everyone who knew him! Prayers for Hanie, John and Monica in the days ahead. Each passing day we are closer to seeing our loved ones who have gone before us again. John Lee is having a grand time right now with His Savior and with those loved ones he has been missing. I can imagine he and my dad (Dee Watts) are laughing together about something they remember from days gone by.

I am so sorry to hear of your great loss. Recently I lost my dear mother. and within 30 days I also lost my mother-in-law. What helped us during this time period was the comfort from the Holy Bible, like at Isaiah 25 verse 8 - "The Sovereign Lord will swallow up death forever, and wipe away the tears from all faces." Also at Revelation 21 verse 4 we find God's promise to remove both pain and death. For more comfort, I turn to the website at: (Search: Comfort)

John Lee was always a big cut up with me. He always made me smile, and on occasions he would let me get in a joke and he would laugh so hard and slap his knee, whether it was truly funny or not. John Lee reminded me of my Grandpa Noble after he passed away, and would always have a story to tell me to brighten my days. He will be missed, but i know i will see him again someday. I love you Uncle John Lee!!
