Judith Price Ison (Judi) of Fort Wright, KY, passed away May 4, 2024 at Hospice Care of St. Elizabeth surrounded by friends, family and a caring staff. She was at the tender age of 81.

Judi was born Sept. 19, 1942, to the late Leo E. and Irene D. Price. She is survived by a brother, Larry Price, niece Jaime McConnell, and great niece Brooklyn McConnell.

After numerous moves in her youth, Judi's family settled in Ashland, KY in 1957. Judi graduated from Ashland High School in 1960, and the day after graduation began a 38-year career with Ashland Oil, Inc., in various roles. In 1998 she relocated to Northern Kentucky to help create a new design firm as office manager. In 2007 Judi retired to enjoy her time mentoring young students, sharing insights with many book club members, traveling with the Red Hat Society, and being part of her church family at Asbury Methodist Church. Along the way she gained many friends--she never met a stranger. Judi always did her best to make everyone feel special while keeping them laughing with her rapid-fire wit.

Judi was a lifelong devoted dog lover with a soft spot for dachshunds--especially the notorious Wally.

Heartfelt appreciation is extended to Cindy, Judi's dear friend and angel who was with her through her arduous cancer journey, to her brother Larry, and to the healthcare professionals at St. Elizabeth, especially the Cancer Center and Hospice.

A memorial service will be Sat., May 18, from 1-3 p.m. at Cooper Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations to Asbury Methodist Church or a charity of your choice would be appreciated. Cooper Funeral is serving the family.
