Notes

With a prayerful heart, Vincent J Rawe Jr. (Butch) went to his Heavenly home on January 24, 2024, at the age of seventy-seven. He was born in Dayton, KY on October 20, 1946. He married the love of his life, Barbara Lee Brown on August 5, 1967. Together they raised two wonderful children, Christi Lynn (Bill) Kramer and Gregory Vincent (Shelley) Rawe, who blessed them with six very special grandchildren Kendall (Gregory) Thomason, Justin (Jaclyn) Kramer, Madeline (Tanner) Heist, Jarrett Kramer, Kennedi (Aryan Stewart) Kramer and Jolee Rawe, and two precious great grandbabies River Lynn Stewart and Brantley Allan Kramer.

Vince graduated from Bishop Brossart High School. He was an Army veteran. He worked at Farm Credit Services as a loan officer for thirty-one years. He really enjoyed working with farmers, but his favorite past time was farming. His partnership in Rawe Brothers Farms with his brother Greg and their partner Terry Bezold was what he was known for and what he took pride in. Rawe Brothers Farms bought and sold cattle to farms and ranches throughout the United States transported by almost 100 tractor trailers down our small country roads. Later, he created California Cattle Company to continue this passion.

Vince is a beloved brother of Bob (Barb), Dave (Camilla), Tom (Joan), Greg (Millie), Bernie (Roseanne), and Mike (Vikki). He is preceded in death by his parents Vincent Sr. and Romaine Rawe and his only sister Patricia (Victor) Schneider.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude's Place, Memphis, TN, 38105, or Shriners Hospital, 3229 Burnet Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45229, or Future Farmers of America, 300 Sower Blvd, Frankfort, KY, 40601. Services are to be held on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at Cooper Funeral Home from 9am-12pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sts. Peter and Paul Church, 2162 California Cross Road, California, KY 41007 at 2pm with a reception to immediately follow. Cooper Funeral Home is serving the family.

Dear Family,
I am sorry that I was unable to come by and pay my respects to you and to Vince yesterday. It has been years since I had the privilege to work with him, but for several years it was frequent while he was with PCA. Always a great pleasure to be around. Please accept my sincere condolences.
May the Good Lord afford comfort.

I am so very sad for Barb and all his family. I have so many good memories working with Vince at FCS. We loved sharing our Keebler’s Fudge striped cookies with each other. A good man who loved his family and truly loved farming. My heart is very sad.
