Notes
Darleen Janice Webster Napier
July 22, 1938 to August 29, 2023
Darleen Webster Napier (85), currently of Butler, Kentucky, passed away on August 29th, 2023. She was the daughter of Thelma O Daulton Webster (1903-1984) and James Edward Webster (1896-1960), born at home in Elsmere, Kentucky.
She was a 1957 graduate of Lloyd Memorial High School; a member and Sunday School Teacher at the Elsmere Church of Christ where she was married; she loved cooking for and spending time with loved ones; truly enjoyed being a manager for Fabric Merchants at the Florence, Ft. Mitchell, and Bellevue locations; followed by ‘supervising’ her grandchildren on the farm while she ran her Ceramic & Porcelain Shop. She also had fun-adventures working at the Wendy’s in Alexandria, Ky.
Darleen was preceded in death by her husband – George Napier (9/4/1933 – 4/16/2005), and her son George Franklin “Frankie” Napier (9/13/1961 – 9/28/2005); her parents – Thelma and James Webster; her father and mother-in-law – Edmond and Lucy (Martin) Napier; her siblings – James Howard (Stella) Webster, Wanda (Jess) Conley, Virginia Lee Webster (1920-1922), Wyetta Irene Webster (1924-1942), and Donald (Marlene) Webster; her brother and sister-in-laws – Howard Napier, Jimmy and Donna Sue Napier, Clarence and Mary Beau Napier, Betty and Jerry Price, Danny Napier, Charlie and Cathy Elliott; and several nieces and nephews that left us much too soon.
Darleen leaves behind many loved ones – her daughter and favorite son-n-law, Janice and Joe Ison; her grandchildren – Stephanie (Matt), Stacey (Ryan), Frank (Katie), Christa Wells Napier, Tracy (Chris), Kellie (Patrick), Billy, Ronnie, as well as Patrick; her great grandchildren – both 2-legged and 4-legged – including Dusty, Redlegs, Carmen, and Rosie Beischel | Mackenzie and Eli McMath | Brayden, Lilli, Josie, and Franklin Napier / Garrett, and Olivia | along with several others. Her in-laws – Robert and Connie Napier; Conie Sue and Frank Gornto; Dottie Napier. Many nieces and nephews, including Ken (Mildred) Webster; Francis – widow of Jimmy Webster; Thelma Faye Conley Vanover; Walter (Kim) Webster; Donnie (Ruby) Webster; Larry (Bobbie) Webster; Sherry (Don) Vail; Howard (April) Webster;
Howard Napier; Debbie Napier Lenox; Teresa Ann Napier; Patty Ann Napier Utz; Josh Napier; Krissy (Bryan) Hiatt; Brad (Christy) Napier; Joe (Darlene) Popp; Kirk (Tina) Price; Brian Keith (Denise) Napier. And even some “greats” – our family get togethers over the years were such a blessing.
She was many, many things – kind, creative, loving, smart, knowledgeable, motivated, encouraging, assertive, supportive, a wonderful caregiver, a fantastic cook, a great sport, witty with a great sense of humor, patient, understanding but firm, and so much more – but most of all, she was loved.
Thank you, God, for blessing us with her for a little over 85 years.

Darlene was a special part of my life. She (and George) accepted me into their family when I became friends with Janice in elementary school. But, I remember when getting ready for Janice and Joe's wedding, she was upset because she had to let out my dress. I had gained weight from the initial dress fitting. I had to let the cat out of bag that I was pregnant. 😊
Love you Darlene. Tell George that door knob or door bell (not sure which one i was) that I love him and Frankie too!!
