Mose Barrett Jr, 84 of California, KY passed away on August 29th, 2023. He was the son of Mose Sr. and Callie (Robertson) Barrett. Mose retired from CG & E (Duke) after 44 years. He proudly served in the United States Army. Mose was a member of Flagg Springs Baptist Church, Lenoxburg Liars Club, Highlands Cannon Crew and Newport Lodge #273. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Anna Barrett. Children; Kevin (Heidi) Barrett, Keith (Sheila) Barrett, and Rene Barrett. Grandchildren; Addyson Cain, Brennah Dutcher, Brogan Dutcher, Chase Barrett, Cole Barrett, Josh (Kameryn) Watson, Kevin Michael Barrett, Mitchell Cain and Sydney Watson. Great grandson, Weston Watson. Brother Willis (Juanita) Barrett. Memorial Visitation will be held Friday, September 1st, 2023 at Cooper Funeral Home from 4pm-7pm. Military honors will take place at 7pm at the funeral home. A Celebration of Life will be held at 3423 Carthage Rd, California, KY 41007 on Saturday, September 2nd, 2023 from 10am-2pm with the dedication beginning at 11. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Elizabeth Hospice, 483 S Loop Rd, Edgewood, KY 41017 or Flagg Springs Baptist Church, 12247 Flagg Springs Pike, California, KY 41007.
