Carl William Fox, 74, of Dayton, Kentucky, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 22, 2023. He was born August 4, 1948, to the late George Lee and Vera Rose Fox (nee Vogt). Preceding him in death were his wife Melinda Fox (nee Ackerson) and his brother Jeffrey Fox. He is survived by his daughters Denise Fox of Dayton, Carlee Dotson of Bellevue, and by his son Carl Fox of Union; survivors also include his sister Marilyn Fox, brother David Fox, son-in law Nathan Dotson, sister-in-law Beth Gore, grandchildren Malory Fox, Arianna Dotson, Meleeah Dotson, Gabriella Fox, Emily Fox, Jake Fox, Connor Fox, and Emery Fox; and great grandchildren Amara Hues and Logan Hues.
Retired at the time of death, Car Fox was a master stone mason and business owner (Fox Construction), and a devoted and much beloved family member with a great sense of humor and quick wit. He enjoyed joking with family members around the kitchen table, and he loved the outdoors, sitting on his front porch in all kinds of weather. He enjoyed hunting with his son-in-law, and when he was younger, boating on the Ohio River. He was a member of the Baptist Church.
A visitation (10 am -noon) followed by the funeral service, will be held Saturday, March 4, 2023, at Cooper Funeral Home, 10759, Alexandria Pike, Alexandria, KY 41001. Burial will be at Peach Grove Cemetery following the funeral service. Cooper Funeral Home is serving the family.
