Frederick William Schmidt, 71 of Highland Heights KY passed away on January 18th, 2023. He was the son of Wirt and Virginia (Straus) Schmidt. Fred had worked for the Cincinnati Enquirer. He enjoyed volunteering for the fire departments, which included Bellevue, Lexington, Alexandria and Highland Heights. He was a member of the Bob White Club, Campbell County Game and Fish and Masonic Lodge #152. Fred was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his daughter, Amber (Rob Decker) Schmidt. Sons; Chris (Robyn) Cox and Jeremy (Connie) Cox. Sister; Sally Schmidt. Along with 9 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren. Memorial Visitation will be held on Friday, January 20th, 2023 at Cooper Funeral Home from 4pm-6pm. Masonic services will begin at 6pm. A Celebration of Life will immediately follow at the Campbell County Game and Fish 11218 S. Licking Pike, Alexandria, KY 41001. Cooper Funeral Home is serving the family.
